Over the last few years, we have noticed that more and more people have knowledge of the benefits of hypnosis. With this has come an increase in the number of people advertising that they practice hypnotherapy. There are many skilled and caring individuals who practice in this profession, providing people with the ability to choose a therapist whom, for whatever reason (location, price, nice ad, kind face, etc!), appeals to them.  

Having said that...  

Choosing a Hypnotherapist is not like buying tyres.  It is not as simple as ringing someone up, telling them your problem and finding out whether their fee to "fix" you is within your budget. These days, so much of what we see, hear, experience and buy is neatly packaged up for us.  Even therapy has become an industry! You can sign on for a course of therapy with a trademarked name, at the end of which you receive a certificate of achievement. These kinds of workshops and treatment programs offer a great deal of help for a lot of people, but sometimes run the risk of offering a one-size-fits-all approach. A good therapist will bring many tools to the table, and will be able to work with you to find the best approach for you as an individual.  

Personal growth is not a product. Neither is "Hypnosis". One technique or procedure will not necessarily be appropriate for everyone, even if "everyone" in question has the same "problem". People are more than a collection of symptoms, and a medical or psychological diagnosis is not an adequate description of an individual. A good hypnotherapist will adapt their technique to YOU, rather than expecting you to conform to their model of what a client should do.

We guarantee you that you will be treated with respect, that we will listen to you and adapt our procedure to you as an individual. We guarantee that we will do our best work for you, and if we feel that you would be better off with another therapist, we will discuss this with you. We guarantee that we will, if our experience indicates, tell you if we think this process is not the right one for you.

What we cannot do is take away your ability to make your own decisions, and we can't take responsibility for your choices.

To our way of thinking, offering a guarantee perpetuates the myth that hypnosis involves the mysterious power of the hypnotherapist. The reality is that hypnosis allows individuals to align their actions with their decisions. Anyone who tells you that hypnosis can make you do anything is being very economical with the truth.

The success you experience will be your own. We will not take credit for that. Our skill and our primary goal is our excellence in the application of techniques and procedures which enable YOU to make meaningful, long-term change.
